How To Write Articles For The Sundial
Write your article in a word processing program (i.e. Word, Notepad, Wordpad, SimpleText, etc.)
and NOT just in an email editor (i.e. Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo, Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.).
Simply save your article on your computer and then "Attach" it to an email for the
Publications Committee.
Do NOT write your article in a "letter format," unless you are the Lodge Chief. Only
the "Chief Speaks" article should be in letter format. All other articles should be in a
newspaper-type format. Look at a copy of the newspaper if you're not sure how to do it.
Get your article in on time! Enough Said. Not only is it extremely difficult to publish the
Sundial if articles aren't submitted on time, it costs the lodge much more money if we have to print
it at the last minute. (Contact the Publications Committee if you have any questions about that.)
All of the following officers should write an article for each issue of The Sundial:
Lodge Chief, all four Chapter Chiefs, Ceremonies Chairman, Dance Team Chairman, Troop Rep Chairman, Camp
Promos/Unit Elections Chairman, and anyone else who is asked to do so by a member of the Lodge Key 3
and/or the Publications Committee.
