Lodge and Chapter Leadership Training
Youre considering running for a Lodge or Chapter office. You might be interested in being the chairman of
one of the lodge committees. Youre asking yourself, How will I know what to do? Will somebody explain to me
what my job involves and how will I get it accomplished? Well, we have the answer for you.
The lodge annually holds a Lodge Leadership Development Conference (LLDC). The annual LLDC is typically held
in October of each year after officer elections are held at the Pow-Wow.
The LLDC is arguably the most important event our lodge holds. While any member of the lodge is invited to
attend, newly elected officers and committee chairmen should not miss this event. If you are running for lodge
or chapter office or are interested in being a committee chairman you need to attend.
What happens at LLDC? As the name implies, this event is where you learn how to do your job. The traing follows
the National LLDC training syllabus to help train you in your new position.
The other major activity that happens at LLDC is the lodge, chapters and every committee will be planning their
calendars for the year. Most of the major decisions on how the lodge will implement its program will be made at
this event.
